ABOUT LUCAS ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS

The academy was founded in August 2019 by Gareth Lucas-Robins. His vision was to start an academy which was affordable but also offered a high level of performing arts training. 
At Lucas Academy of Performing Arts we offer training in acting, dance, music, singing, musical theatre training, confidence building, vocal training and much more. 
Our aim is to perform two shows each year whilst also consistently working on performance skills.

OUR CLASSES

Mondays and Wednesdays

At Lucas Academy of Performing Arts we have three different age groups available.

CHILDREN AGES 7-11

TEENS AGES 12-17

ADULTS 18+

Class time 5-6:30pm

Class time 6:30-9pm

Class time 6:30-9pm

ACTING

We provide drama training in:-

• Stage presence

• Stage direction

• Improvisation

• Characterisation

• Script reading

• Movement

• Confidence building

MUSIC

We provide musical training in the following areas:-

• Vocal warm up

• Singing technique

• Breathing

• Diction

• Music theory

• Vocal projection

• Performance 

DANCE

We offer dance training in:-

• How to warm up

• Lyrical

• Jazz

• Musical theatre

• How to combine dance with performance

• How to create character through movement

LAPA is launching on Monday 9th September. Our sessions are 5-6:30pm for ages 7-11 and 6:30-9pm for ages 12-17 and 18+. If you would like to come along, please get in touch and book your space.
